You've probably seen other phones bearing the 'SE123' name before and while this isn't official info, the name almost surely is featured on SE's prototypes.

In the case of this handset, Sony Ericsson's P700i, these spy shots may well be a sign that it will be released soon. Comparing these photos to the previous ones, one can't but notice that the two devices look exactly the same, which most likely means that this is what the P700i will look like and also that an official Sony Ericsson official announcement is getting quite close.

Take the Ai/W880i as an example. After several photo leaks of a phone with the same design, Sony Ericsson finally revealed the handset and it looked exactly like the handset the spy shots revealed.

Adding up all the information from various rumors regarding the P700i, the handset should pack 3G capabilities, a 2.6 inch color screen with a WVGA resolution, a 3.2 megapixel camera with LED light, secondary VGA camera for video calls, as well as WiFi and Bluetooth for connectivity.

It should please all of Sony Ericsson's fans that were looking for an M600i with an added camera. Thus, business users that can't take a phone with a camera along will be able to settle for the M600i, while the ones that were actually looking for a productivity tool which can also be used conveniently in their spare time for taking snapshots or listening to music, will soon be able to go and get themselves a P700i. As other phones from the P family, the P700i should also run the new version of Symbian UIQ. As usual, there's nothing left to do but to patiently await for the phone's launch.
