Some great news emerged for those Android enthusiasts out there who are interested in enjoying a brand new smartphone on Sprint's airwaves should be able to do so starting with tomorrow, January 6th, the day when RadioShack is expected to put on sale the HTC EVO Shift 4G.

The mobile phone was announced officially on Tuesday, when Sprint said that it would reach to customers only on January 9th, bringing along both Google's Android OS, and 4G WiMAX connectivity options.

Apparently, RadioShack would have the new device on sale earlier than that, namely on January 6th, when the company's chain of retail stores would feature it on shelves.

Moreover, Best Buy Reward Zone members who pre-ordered the mobile phone are expected to start receiving their units tomorrow too, while the general public would taste EVO Shift 4G on Friday, January 7th, a recent article on BGR reads.

The new EVO Shift 4G from HTC should be put on sale at RadioShack with a price tag of $149.99 attached to it upon the signing of a new two-year contract agreement with the wireless carrier.

In case there are some who really need the new smartphone, they should head over to the Shack to purchase it three days earlier than from Sprint.

For those who might have not encountered the new mobile phone before, we should note that it comes with the HTC Sense user experience thrown on top of Google's Android 2.2 operating system, while offering a sliding design.

The HTC EVO Shift 4G puts together a 3.6-inch capacitive touchscreen display with a QWERTY keyboard, and also includes a 5MP camera with 720p HD video recording capabilities, along with 2GB of ROM, and a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 32GB of additional storage space.

The handset would also offer 4G connectivity, along with impressive web browsing features on Sprint's network. The phone would also include support for Flash Player 10.1, as well as access to the Android Market.
