BlackBerry Curve 9350, the CDMA flavor of Curve 9360 that should arrive on shelves at Sprint, has been reportedly delayed to the beginning of next month, some of the latest reports on the matter suggest.

The handset was officially launched in late August, and has already arrived on the market in Canada, yet it seems that users in the US might have a little longer to wait before it is made available in their country as well.

Initially set to land on shelves at Sprint on September 9th, the mobile phone might not be released before October 2nd is here, rumor has it.

Sprint already announced the availability of Curve 9350 for tomorrow, so it remains to be seen whether they will make an official statement on the delay as well.

For the time being, however, no specific info on what might have caused the delay emerged, and the fact that the new Curve was pushed back is not certain either.

Curve 9350, the same as the 9360 model that already arrived on shelves in Canada, is a highly affordable device, aimed mainly at those who would like to upgrade to a new handset without spending too much.

The handset sports the popular Curve design and runs under the latest version of RIM's mobile platform, BlackBerry 7 OS, but does not feature a touchscreen display, as the latest handset from the Canadian mobile phone maker did. Curve 9350 is expected to arrive on shelves at Sprint with a price tag of around $80 with the signing of a two-year contract agreement. Business users might be able to purchase the new device for only $50 on contract.

The specs list of this mobile phone includes a 2.44-inch screen that can deliver a 360 x 480 pixels resolution, along with a single-core 800MHz application processor inside, a 5-megapixel photo snapper on the back, and microSD memory card slot for additional storage space.
