The device has the same features and price as the black model

It seems that Samsung Instinct has got a new color, namely pink. Besides the black model, Sprint announced the availability of the new version and lists the device at the same price tag of $99.99 after a rebate and with a 2-year contract. The phone was already spotted on Best Buy a few days ago, but now we learn that the pink panther has become official.

The main features of the Samsung Instinct include a high-resolution touch sensitive display complemented by a small number of keys on the front side. The handset is a CMDA/EV-DO phone that includes a 2-megapixel camera, along with microSD / microSDHC slot and Stereo Bluetooth capabilities. On the downside, it does not come with a QWERTY keyboard, yet it is a slim device.

The specification list shows that the pink Samsung Instinct includes support for CDMA dual band (800/1900 MHz), CDMA2000 1xRTT/1xEV-DO rev.0/1xEV-DO rev.A and 3G connectivity. Moreover, it comes with WAP 2.0, full HTML Browser, Bluetooth 2.0 support, 3.5mm HeadPhone Jack and USB slot.

The 3.1-inch TFT touchscreen can deliver a 240 x 432 pixel resolution and 262,144 colors. The 2.0-megapixel camera comes with digital zoom and video recording capabilities. In the Multimedia department, the handset brings a video player that supports MPEG4, H.264, as well as a music player with support for MP3, AAC, AAC+ and WMA.

Other features include Caller groups supported, 600-name capacity, Multiple Numbers Per Contact, Picture ID, Ring ID, Alarm, Calendar, Calculator, TO-DO, Stopwatch, World Clock, Timer, Memo, Unit Converter, as well as Voice Dialing, Commands, Recording, Speaker Phone.

The Li-Ion battery of the phone features a 1000 mAh capacity and is able to provide up to 5.75 hours of talk time. Samsung Instinct measures 4.57 x 2.17 x 0.49 inches (116 x 55 x 12.5 mm) and weighs only 4.40 oz (125 g).
