Sprint has released the Samsung Instinct S30 on its airwaves, just as it promised a while ago, and those interested in acquiring the handset can do so either by entering the carrier's site or by looking for it in a store. The device is available on Sprint for $129.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate and the signing of a two-year contract agreement with the operator, but it can also be purchased contract free for $449.99.

The new Samsung Instinct comes to the market with some of the looks and style of its predecessor, following it only 10 months after, yet there are also a lot of new features to be discovered. It sports a 3.2-inch TFT touchscreen display that is able to provide a 240 x 432 pixel resolution and supports 262K colors, while also including a 2-megapixel photo snapper and a virtual QWERTY keypad.

Its specification list also shows GPS capabilities with support for Sprint Navigation, Stereo Bluetooth 2.0, support for Sprint TV and Sprint Music Store, a microSD memory card slot for additional storage space of up to 16GB, with a 1GB card included in the package, a 3.5mm jack, and speakerphone.

Among the features the Instinct S30 will come with, we can count support for Microsoft Live Search, Opera Mini 4.2, Visual Voicemail, SMS voice and text messaging with threaded text, preloaded games, including “Guitar Hero – World Tour” and “Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader,” NASCAR Sprint Cup Mobile, Email and Instant Messaging capabilities, or Background music playing mode, which enables users to listen to music while sending text messages, browsing the Web, or playing a downloaded game.

The Samsung Instinct S30 is powered by a standard 1000 mAh Lithium Ion (Li-Ion) battery that can offer users up to 4.6 hours of talk time. The phone measures 2.1 x 4.6 x 0.5 inches and weighs 3.9 ounces. One thing worth mentioning though is that Best Buy announced recently that it would have the device on sale later this week for $80 less than Sprint with the same two-year contract.
