Only select Premier accounts are eligible for early upgrades

It looks like major carrier Sprint is currently running an interesting promotion for Premier customers who want to upgrade earlier.

The folks over at SprintFeed have just found out that Sprint’s silent internal promotion runs through December 31 and only applies to select Premier customer accounts that are flagged for an early upgrade.

Sprint employees who have customers interested in purchasing a new phone, but are not eligible for a phone upgrade for the moment should check the “Targeted Offer” tab in the “RMS Offer Tool” in order to see if their customers are eligible for this holiday upgrade offer.

It appears that the promotion is only available in select stores. Those who want to take advantage of the time-limited offer must head over to the nearest corporate store and ask for the early upgrade option.

However, their accounts will need further review from a sales rep for specific promotional codes, in order to qualify for this holiday offer.

According to SprintFeed, the entire Sprint catalog of handsets is eligible for this promotional offer with the exception of iDEN handsets, which does not make the object of the special deal.

Dubbed “Holiday Upgrade Offer,” it looks like the special promo kicked off on December 16, but Sprint did want to advertise it through its official channels and preferred to inform its sales reps on the details of the holiday offer.

It is also worth mentioning that the iPhone 4S is also among the eligible devices for the time-limited offer. In addition, it applies to both Sprint Premier Gold and Silver customers.

Given the fact that a lot of the Sprint stores are not aware of the promotion, it will take some convincing until you are able to take advantage of it.

We recommend calling Sprint tech support if the sales rep doesn’t know anything about the promotion. The special offer can also be checked via the RMS Offer Tool.
