Major carrier Sprint has just announced the upcoming availability of the Samsung Galaxy Reverb. Customers will be able to purchase the Android smartphone through Virgin Mobile USA beginning September 19.

Initially, the Galaxy Reverb will only be available online for $249.99 USD (195 EUR) outright. However, it will go on sale at all Virgin Mobile brick and mortar stores across the country soon after its online debut.

Nevertheless, those who wish to make sure they’ll get the Galaxy Reverb as soon as it becomes available can pre-order the smartphone starting today via Virgin Mobile’s website. The carrier offers various plans that can be paired with the Samsung Galaxy Reverb.

When it comes to specs, the Galaxy Reverb is a mid-range Android phone powered by a 1.4 GHz single-core processor, which is complemented by 768 MB of RAM.

On the inside, the phone packs 4GB of storage, which can be further expanded up to 64GB via microSD memory card.

We keep adding awesome new services and devices to our lineup, and with our commitment to customers to deliver products with ‘A Higher Calling,’ this new Samsung device is no exception.

Samsung has always been a strong partner for Virgin Mobile; Intercept was the first Android we made available on our Beyond Talk plans, in 2010. Getting a Galaxy device now truly rounds out our offering,” said Mark Lederman, director, Virgin Mobile USA.

Samsung Galaxy Reverb runs Google’s Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system and sports a 4.0-inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen display that supports 480 x 800 pixels resolutions.

It also comes with a 5-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and LED flash, as well as a secondary 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera for video calls.

According to Sprint, “Galaxy Reverb also uses a button arrangement that more closely resembles Samsung Galaxy S III with menu, home and back keys, and capacitive touch buttons.”
