It seems that netbooks aren't the only sort of mobile PCs that Sprint is equipping with 4G connectivity, as it was accompanied by the release of the Dell Inspiron 11z notebook, a mobile PC aimed at small business and consumers that travel frequently.

The Inspiron 11z is based on the Intel Core i3-330UM CPU, whose clock speed is of 1,20 GHz and which has 3MB of cache memory.

This chip and the HM57 integrated graphics will have full control over the 11.6-inch WLED display, whose native resolution is of 1,366 x 768 pixels.

There is also a hard disk drive with an internal capacity of 250 GB, plus 2 GB of RAM, which can be upgraded to 4GB.

There is, of course, wireless support via Intel Centrino Advanced-N + WiMAX 6250 integrated WiFi/WiMAX, plus a HDMI output and the Windows 7 home Premium OS.

“As a 4G leader in the United States, Sprint continues to introduce innovative products that provide unrivaled speed, access and mobility for millions of users today,” said Fared Adib, vice president-Product Development, Sprint.

“While other carriers continue to talk about their 4G networks, we lead by example,” the VP added.

“The addition of these two exciting 4G-embedded Dell products nicely fits within our current ecosystem of fixed and dual-mode devices that also includes phones, mobile broadband cards, mobile hotspots and routers,” Adib went on to saying.

“Young professionals, students and even moms will enjoy […] the Inspiron 11z because [it] deliver(s) fast and reliable access to e-mail, social networking and Internet surfing,” said Michael Tatelman, vice president-Global Consumer Sales and Marketing, Dell.

“Bundling Sprint’s fast and reliable 3G/4G network support with [this] easy-to-carry systems ensure they will get the best in immersive on-the-go experience available,” Tatelman added.

Like the Mini 10, the 11z is available for $59.99 a month with both 3G and 4G, while the 3G only plan comes at $39.99.
