14 DAY TRIAL // Both Selena Gomez and Vanessa Hudgens have said countless times that they were eager to shed their good girl Disney image. By the looks of the first official trailer for “Spring Breakers,” this will be their chance to do so.
For months, there’s been a lot of buzz around this project for the obvious reason: it has these two former Disney darlings, plus Ashley Benson, in bikinis for most of the time, shooting guns and robbing places.
James Franco also makes an appearance as a mobster who gets the girls out of jail only to use them to carry out his dirty plans and, judging from the trailer, each and every line he gets in the film begins with a “Y’all!”
On a more serious note, this film by Harmony Korine doesn’t aim to be as serious as it’s presented in the trailer. Even so, reaction to it is already verging on the definitely negative.
What I want to know is what you think about it and, if you agree, “why y’all acting spishious?”
