The sculptures took almost two weeks to make, tower over pedestrians

One Dutch artist who happens to be quite fond of recycling and breathing new life into items which would otherwise be simply thrown away recently took it to himself to build ginormous slugs using discarded plastic bags as his raw materials.

His sculptures “grew” over the course of two weeks and ended up measuring 18 x 7.5 x 5 meters, Inhabitat reports.

To cut a long story short, they pretty much towered over any pedestrians (and even some buildings) they came across whilst going for a stroll on the streets of Angers, France.

Just by looking at the pictures, one can honestly say that these oversized slugs are impressive to say the least, and that Florentijn Hofman did a pretty good job of putting old plastic bags to a better use.
