Unknown to many, some people have developed an extraordinary way of relating with their surrounding and carrying on with their daily routine.

Thus, this video shows how Daniel, a man who has been blind from a very early age, manages to use echolocation in order to make sense of the objects found either in his proximity, or at considerable distances.

By using his tongue to make clicking sounds, this man can make out the shape of a car, and even the shape of buildings.

Just for the record: using echolocation in order to get around is something animals such as dolphins, whales and bats typically do, yet this man stands as proof that humans can sometimes “borrow” tricks from various wildlife species and make them work to their advantage.

“If you're really listening, you really have that sense of surrounding, of sound surrounding you,” Daniel explains.
