Being able to monitor one's heart rate and physical performance is an extremely important issue, especially for those people who like to keep themselves in shape, but, in the same time, must constantly keep their heart beats under control. And this is the reason why the Sportline company has just launched the Solo 960 Sport Watch, a device they tout to be the "world's only" pedometer heart rate watch.

Thus, the Solo 960 includes a digital pedometer with a motion-sensing accelerometer, which is widely considered to be the most accurate and reliable technology on the market. With the pedometer, users can track their steps taken, distance traveled, calories burned, speed, exercise time and maintain daily and weekly records.

The innovative watch also features Sportline's new 3Beat Sensor and One-Touch technologies. 3Beat Sensor technology is, according to the manufacturer, "the fastest, most accurate contact heart-rate measuring technology in the industry", based on a patented filter system to acquire ECG accurate heart-rate data in three beats or less. Besides the ECG, the Solo 960 also allows users to set target heart rate zone programs or program high and low target zone alarms.

Moreover, since, after all, it's marketed as a watch, the Solo 960 also displays the time, day, date and month, sports a dual time zone display, 5 daily alarms, as well as a chronograph with a 1/100 second resolution and a countdown timer.

"The Solo 960 is literally a breakthrough for this industry because nobody has ever been able to successfully integrate these technologies into one product," said Dan Kinsbourne, V.P. of Marketing for Sportline. "Not only have we created a single, integrated solution that combines highly accurate heart rate and physical activity measurement in to one instrument, but we've done it in a manner that's extremely easy to use and very affordable."

Besides being quite useful, the Solo 960 is not even that expensive, since it retails for just around $99.99, a relatively small price to pay, if we take a look at the numerous and interesting features this thing can provide.
