How many days left until the release of long awaited supposedly revolutionary game Spore? The correct answer is seven. How many days till you can download the game? None. We're not talking about piracy and downloading the game earlier. We're talking about the fact that Electronic Arts is sending word that the EA Store is ready to serve you if you wish to pre-download Spore.

You need to go over to the digital download service and then pay for the game. After that, you can download the entire game on your hard drive. You will not be able to access it because it is encrypted but the game will be ready to go as soon as September 5 hits. It will take around half an hour, apparently, for the downloaded version to decrypt and then you will be able to play Spore while other gamers will still be waiting outside the store to get their copies.

Unfortunately, only the PC version of the game can be pre-downloaded while Mac players will have to go out and buy a copy.

Spore is set to let a player control a life form since the earliest hours of its existence through its whole evolutionary cycle. You will start the game as a mere molecule infused with life, playing a variety of mini games required to get the biological material that's necessary to evolve. You will also be able to create a full blown entity, as demoed with the Spore Creature Creator launched earlier during this summer. The game also has a tribal stage and galactic stage, where you will manage your creatures as they try to and take over the universe.

One interesting bit is that the game is going to use other players’ creatures and civilizations to populate the universe in which each player exists. Will Wright also promises that his team will release other creators for gamers to play around with.
