Multiplayer problems for Splinter Cell

Saturday, a Splinter Cell demo was released via Xbox Live Marketplace. The demo was available only for Xbox 360 owners, blame Ubisoft for that.

The first impression of the gamers was a good one, as the gaming forums were crowded by praising posts. Gamers appreciated the graphics as all of them agreed that the graphic engine had been improved although some declared that the night-vision had a 2D feel.

But the first impression wore off quickly, as many wanted to try hosting private games. All of those who wanted to play online with their pals suffered a big disappointment. The forums were filled with complaints as the posts read that trying to join a game of any nature is time consuming and that when you finally get connected, the host quits, disconnecting the other players.

Ubisoft has set the release date for Splinter Cell on Friday, October 20, and maybe the full version of the game will have the functionality to host private games unlocked.

Splinter Cell Double Agent is part of a series of games endorsed by American author Tom Clancy, and the main protagonist of the game is Sam Fisher, who has to stop a devastating attack by infiltrating into a terrorist group. The voice of Sam Fisher is that of the famous actor Michael Ironside.
