We reported last week on Spice Mobility’s new phablet, the Pinnacle Stylus and now the handset maker has officially announced its availability in India for Rs 15,999 ($260/€190).

The main selling point of the smartphone, aside from the affordable price, is the fact that it comes bundled with Evernote and Skitch Premium subscriptions, as AndroidOS points out.

“This phone is powered with Evernote and Skitch which makes the phone even more interesting and allows users to visually communicate more effectively than ever.

“The phone also comes pre-bundled with Evernote, which helps individuals save their thoughts, ideas and all they want to remember, thereby making them more organized and productive.

“With the new smartphone, we aim to satiate the consumer needs with the best-in-class technological innovations,” said T M Ramakrishnan, CEO, devices, S Mobility Ltd.

As the name suggests, the handset also comes packed with a stylus that can be used to operate the smartphone. It offers dual-SIM supports and a high-capacity 2500 mAh Li-Ion battery.

Spice Pinnacle Stylus ships with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box and is likely to stay on this version of the platform forever.

Hardware-wise, the smartphone has been confirmed to feature a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory.

Moreover, Android enthusiasts who decide to go for Spice Mobility’s latest Android smartphone should know that Pinnacle Stylus sports microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

Another strong point of the phablet is the huge 5.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (1280 x 720 pixels) resolution.

On the back, the handset boasts an enhanced 8-megapixel main camera with autofocus and LED flash, while in the front, there’s a secondary 2-megapixel camera for video calls. Other highlights of the Spice Pinnacle Stylus include Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, microUSB and 3G support.
