The Spice Girls are again preparing to take over the world, despite announcing in 2007 that that reunion tour was the first and last they’d ever go on. However, this time, at least some things will be different, reports in the British media summed by The Sun claim, as not all five members will be included, since Victoria Beckham has been left out of all plans.

As we also reported at the end of last month, rumors of another Spice Girls reunion were sparked by a dinner date all four other members went on, where, according to Geri Halliwell, they talked the possibility of doing another project as an act. Victoria Beckham, known as Posh Spice to many, was also absent back then, as she will also be on the upcoming reunion tour, The Sun says.

“Mel B, with the help of her fella Stephen Belafonte, are masterminding a full-scale comeback. I say full-scale but one member of the line-up is resisting the invitation. Victoria Beckham has made it clear to the girls she won’t have the time – or desire – to uproot her family again for more fun and games with her old pals. But Mel B, Mel C and Geri Halliwell are getting together next week regardless, with fellow bandmate Emma Bunton. Baby is a little reluctant to commit to going on the road but the others are sure they can talk her round.” The Sun writes, citing well-informed, but unnamed, sources.

Production on said reunion tour is set to kick off in the upcoming weeks, or so the insider claims, although, if the Girls are planning on doing something at least as big as the 2007 tour, they will undoubtedly need more time for it not to rush things. Now that it’s been settled that Victoria will not be a part of the reunion (since she’s also busy with her fashion career, aside from the fact that she doesn’t want to be separated from her family for this long), the only detail that needs some ironing out is that concerning Bunton’s participation in the tour.

“This time next year at least four of the five girls will be back on stage doing the Spice material again. Both the Mels and Geri are the driving force behind making it happen. They have agreed to meet up again next week and thrash out their plans for the future of the Spice empire. Emma is being cautious but the minute she’s with the girls they’ll talk her round. When Geri left the first time, she was arguably the band’s biggest star. If they coped without her, they are confident they can make it work without Posh.” the insider reveals for The Sun.

The band is yet to make an official announcement regarding the reported comeback. If – and when – that happens, rest assured you’ll find out about it here.
