While Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag might not be names most people are familiar with, they are the perfect examples of celebrities made by the media and “supported” by the paparazzi. They’ve reached the spotlight with MTV’s “The Hills,” and are now working on building successful music careers, with Pratt saying on the Complex Blog that he’ll be bigger than P. Diddy, while Heidi is a much more talented singer than the R&B diva herself, Beyonce.

Fans of the show must know that Heidi has been struggling to launch a pop career for well over a year now, and all her efforts in this direction so far have been met with nothing but ridicule from the media and the music industry. Pratt, her sidekick in all this, as well as her occasional style counselor and the director of the music videos, has been equally mocked, especially since he seems convinced that the two of them actually have what it takes to make it in the industry.

For instance, Pratt tells Complex, he’s the “white Jay Z,” while Heidi represents double the talent Beyonce has, which means she’ll be even more famous than her. “A little bit more than the white Beyonce. Beyonce had to be built by a group like Destiny’s Child, but Heidi shines solo. I’ll actually give you an exclusive: I could guarantee you Speidi’s [Spencer and Heidi’s] ‘Bonnie & Clyde’ version is going to stunt on Jay and B’s version.” Pratt explains for Complex.

In the same interview, Spencer also speaks of his future rap career, saying that, if anything, his ascension in the spotlight will be better than that of Diddy. He has what it takes to last even longer in the industry, and there’s no way anyone could convince him otherwise. “I think I’m the future of hip-hop. You know, I feel bad for saying that. That’s unfortunate, but that’s a fact. You can’t compare my model of hip-hop with what I’m about to come out with versus anything in the game. You know I’ll take the Diddy route. I’m not a lyrical MC, I’m just like Diddy. Look what it did for him? He is still balling.” Pratt says.

Concluding by saying that he “[doesn’t] have to have talent” to make it big, Spencer Pratt seems to have everything under control as regards his and Heidi’s music career. Speaking of which, her latest single and video is now making the rounds on the Internet, and the fans’ reaction to it is no different than what she got until now.
