Maybe all of you are wondering what SpeedTree is and what does it have to do with Call of Duty, Oblivion and Full Auto. From what is revealed, SpeedTree is some sort of a groundbreaking engine used to power some in-game scenarios.

More specific, SpeedTree is used for powering trees and plants in some of today's video games. Looks like this nature-engine will also be used for some PS3 titles, including Call of Duty 3, Resistance: Fall of Man, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, Full Auto 2: Battlelines, Fatal Inertia and Way of the Samurai 3.

To experience the next-gen environmental graphics in Resistance: Fall of Man, you will have to wait until November 17, and of course, you have to be over 17 in order to play it because ERB has rated it "M" for mature. The release date for Call of Duty 3 has been set a little bit sooner, on November 7, but you still won't be able to see how SpeedTree influences the games' graphics because the PS3 is not scheduled for release until November 11.

Full Auto 2: Battlelines, is a hybrid game, a combination between racing games and shooters. SEGA and Pseudo Interactive decided to name this genre of games "vehicular combat". Anyway, SpeedTree graphics will be present in Full Auto 2, too.
