The entire spec list of HP’s upcoming Android notebook has arrived

As you might be well aware, there aren't a whole lot of laptops running Android, as device manufacturers mostly prefer Windows when it comes to the notebook-form factor.

But it doesn't mean you aren't offered a choice, Lenovo’s IdeaPad 10 is a solution for those of you looking for an Android lappy and Archos has just announced its super cheap ArcBook that runs on the same OS.

And HP has recently been revealed to be working on an Android-enhanced laptop of its own, dubbed the Slate Book 14.

Now the folks at MobileGeeks are able to provide us with the complete spec list for the upcoming device, as they have already spotted the first retail listings detailing the machine that’s probably going to be unveiled at Google’s I/O soon enough.

On top of that, HP itself has posted an official tutorial on how to remove and replace the top cover of the HP SlateBook, indicating the machine is in the pipe-line and will soon be upon us.

So, according to the listings online, we can tell you the laptop will come equipped with an NVIDIA Tegra 4 quad-core SoC with four ARM Cortex-15 cores working at 1.8GHz. Furthermore, the device is fitted with 2GB of RAM, 16GB of flash memory and will run Android 4.3 Jelly Bean out of the box.

As far as the display goes, the SlateBook will have a 14-inch Full HD screen (1920 x 1080 res), which is pretty great.

Moving on, the new Android laptop will come equipped with N-WLAN, Bluetooth 4.0, HD webcam, dual microphones, Beats Audio support and a 32Whr battery, which is said to be able to provide up to 10 hours of juice.

According to the information provided by the sources, the HP SlateBook 14 won’t come just with the “Suite Yellow” warm paint-job, but will be offered in a Pink version, as well. Sadly, images of this model aren't yet available for our eyes to behold.

As far as pricing is concerned, we can’t be sure at the moment, as some retailers offer the device for pre-order with prices varying between $420 / €306 and $520 / €379.

It’s certainly not as cheap as one might have hoped, but keep in mind this is not official information, so we might see the rates change when HP itself released the device into the wild. We won’t have to wait long for that to happen.
