THQ is driving up interest in its upcoming Dawn of War II title by announcing some nice bundles that will only be available through selected retailers. Until now, the publisher has only revealed the offers as they are available in the United Kingdom but the United States and the rest of Europe are surely set to receive similar offers once the agreements between retailers and THQ are completed. If you are interested, head to HMV and GAME to see what you can get.

At GAME, players that pre-order Dawn of War II will get the Destroyer Wargear Set, basically a new set of equipment for the Devastator Marines and their leader Avitus. The set is made up of the “Armour of the Destroyer,” the “Purge of Victory Bay” heavy bolter and the “Unerring Thunderbolt” missile launcher. If you get this pre-order, you can also access the Novamarines Space Marines Chapter in the game and special colors, the very Warhammer named Dwarf Bronze, Abyss Blue, Abyss Magenta, and Butonic Brown are unlocked for use in the game.

At HMV, players will be able to get the Sniper Wargear Set, made up of the “Grim Silence” armor, the “Initiate's Lesson of Strength” shotgun and the “Deathtouch of the Angel” sniper rifle. The player will also get access to the Angels of Redemption Chapter of Space Marines and four paint colors, this time, Abyss Yellow, Chainmail, Abyss Green and Rotting Flesh.

Dawn of War II is set to arrive on the PC on February 27, 2009. The sequel to the critically acclaimed Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War, it is set to significantly change the experience of the player. The game dispenses with base building and concentrates on tactical engagements between a Chapter of Space Marines and the various enemies of the Empire, like Orks, Eldar and, finally, Tyranids.
