The new mobile computer released by gScreen might not win any awards for compactness and being easy to carry, but it seems to have earned quite some praise for having two full-sized panels, something that professionals can definitely benefit from.

There are many mobile workstations out there, but even with large displays, they still leave users wanting in terms of work space.

Simply put, professionals could always do with more display area, so the new product from gScreen should be able to carve a piece of the laptop market for itself, perhaps even spawn successors and challengers.

Indeed, the SpaceBook, as it is called, has already earned praise on the part of reviewers for the way it tackled this problem, though it will only start selling in November (starting price is $1,899).

“When I run across something that’s truly groundbreaking, something totally unique and never seen before, I get excited. Like really, really excited. And that’s exactly how I felt when I first got to use the gScreen SpaceBook,” said Microsoft's Ben Rudolph in a review.

The reason behind this is the fact that the laptop (which was spotted quite a while ago) has not one, but two displays with a diagonal of 17 inches each.

Now officially released, it boasts a native resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels on both panels and a strong hardware configuration to go with them.

An Intel Core i7 CPU is, unsurprisingly, at the heart, backed by up to 8 GB of DDR3 RAM (random access memory), a discrete NVIDIA graphics solution and a 500 GB HDD.

The available hardware combinations, complete with Super DVD drives, webcams and HDMI, can be found on the official product page.

Overall, it should allow for productivity boosts of about 50%, and even more if one throws in a portable USB monitor or a regular HDMI display, though one might say two screens are already enough for one machine.
