For the fifth year, MacFair returns to at Cerritos College in Nortwalk California. The fair will take place Friday and Saturday, Novermber 3-4. This is the region's largest Macintosh event and this year's keynote speaker is Editor-in-Chief & Publisher from MacTech Magazine, Neil Ticktin.

There are expected to be plenty of presentations and seminars, over 28 actually, sources say, which are dedicated to satisfying the thirst for technology and information of everyone attending them. Also, 15 world class training workshops are expected to take place at this years "Mega Mac event". Some presentations will be hosted by Peter Mellow and Arthur Maddalena.

For those of you that have never heard these names before, Peter Mellow is senior lecturer at the Auckland University of Technology in New Zealand and winner of the Apple Outstanding Tertiary Educator Award, and Arthur Maddalena is described as lead Mac genius at Apple computer. Arthur will present an overview of the known features and benefits of the new Mac OS X Leopard.

A lot of companies are also expected to be participating at the event. Xerox, ProVue Development, MacAlly, Prosoft Engineering, R/com networks, FastMac, VersionTracker.com, Elgato Systems, ADS Tech, MacSupportExperts.com are just some of them. Sources say that many more are expected to be there.

An extremely popular feature at the SoCal MacFair 2006 are the world-class hands-on and classroom training workshops in state of the art Macintosh labs. Over 15 workshops are being offered including: Photoshop, InDesign, Final Cut Pro and Aperture. There will also be workshops on Mac OS X Server and Client, FileMaker Pro, Keynote, DayLite and Flash.

These classes are taught by some of the most famous instructors in the business. People like James Rea, Stephen M. Burns, Scott Immerman, Marni Melrose, David Barrett, Erica Gamet, Philip Staiger and Michael Levin are going to be the teachers of all Mac fans there. Being the largest event in the area and as Macintosh stations in each lab are in a limited number, advance registration should be one of the priorities of those that want to attend those classes.

The address where it will all be happening is: Cerritos College, Student Activities Center 11110 Alondra Blvd., Norwalk, CA and it is just a short drive from all major California freeways. The workshops and classes will take place from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM on Nov. 3rd and 4th while the Vendor Expo and Presentation Seminars will be only on Nov 4th from 10 AM to 5:30 PM.

Single day admission for the Vendor Expo and Seminar Presentations is just $17 with Advance Registration, $20 at the door.
