South Korean scientists have invented the “Armadillo-T electric” car, a vehicle which folds in half and can even be parked on a corner.

According to the Mirror, the folding option on the environmentally friendly vehicle is activated via smartphone. That saves up 65 inches (1.65 meters) from the total vehicle size.

The name has been given out because the car's special folding feature imitates armadillo characteristics.

The vehicle only has two seats, but it can be driven for 62 miles (100 km) after it has been charged for 10 minutes.

The Armadillo-T can reach speeds of up to 37 mph (60 kph). The mirrors on the car are replaced by cameras which relay information on a screen. Self-parking is available and it can be operated with a smartphone.
