A man has fatally shot three adults and two children in a domestic dispute in Greenwood, South Carolina on Tuesday afternoon.

Greenwood County Sheriff Tony Davis tells the Clarion Ledger that the shooter killed his girlfriend, her parents and two kids living in the house.

"Once you see a horrific scene like this it never leaves you. It's with you day in and day out," he says.

Bryan Sweatt called the police before opening fire, and let them know that he was suicidal. The operator heard a woman's voice before the call was disconnected.

"Do not point that at me," she told the caller.

Fox Carolina reveals several Facebook posts he made prior to the shooting, in which he describes his depression and anxiety.

"I just want someone to talk to and be here with me so bad im just about to get in the truck and ram it in the biggest...pole i can find nobody gives a [expletive] about me...[sic]," he wrote on October 9.

"Ive ask for someone to be here for me to take my mind off doing something stupid to hurt myself...[sic]," he said.

He broke into the home of 51-year-old Richard Allen Fields and his wife, 49-year-old Melissa Maroney Fields, to kill their daughter, 26-year-old Chandra Marie Fields.

A 9-year-old girl and an 11-year-old boy were also casualties. Four other children ran to a neighbor's house and stayed there until police arrived.

"I've been in law enforcement in Greenwood since 1975 and to my knowledge this is the first [situation] that I responded to with this many deceased," Davis comments on the crime scene.

Sweatt was facing aggravated robbery charges and a potential extensive stay in jail. He was in the middle of a custody battle with Fields, but their child was not injured.

"I hope tha best but i no im gone for a long time i just hope this judge dont slap me with a whole 45years..." he posted on October 20.
