South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley has officially announced the start of her re-election campaign. Shortly before the announcement was made, the Democratic Governors Association published a video to convince voters not to re-elect Haley.

The 1:22-minute video attacks the governor for various things, such as the tuberculosis outbreak at an elementary school and the layoffs of hundreds of people.

The South Carolina Department of Revenue (DOR) hack also comes back to haunt Haley’s campaign.

Millions of individuals and businesses have been impacted by the hack attack in which 33 pieces of malware were utilized to compromise a total of 44 systems.

Last week, the governor urged all cabinet agencies to take measures to improve their cyber security posture, WSPA reports. The measures recommended by Haley are similar to the ones taken by the DOR in response to last year’s breach.
