World-renowned security firm Sophos revealed that it is about to acquire DIALOGS, a German company that specializes in providing mobile management solutions.

DIALOGS has been doing business with companies such as BMW, Daimler and Siemens, the company’s purchase being a great way for Sophos to reinforce its position in the mobile security sector.

“We’re excited to be joining a complete security leader with deep background in mobile security,” Frank Zimmermann, co-founder and managing director of DIALOGS, said.

“Our complementary expertise will further strengthen the Sophos mobile development team, resulting in quicker time-to-market to deliver enterprises the industry’s most comprehensive mobile security offerings.”

The new union will allow for Sophos’ encryption and data protection services to be combined with the SaaS-based and on-premises mobile management technology provided by DIALOGS.

The companies’ leaders hope to overcome the challenges posed by the Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) practices adopted by more and more organizations.
