Handmark, the Missouri-based North American developer and publisher of mobile content, announced that the first ever Sony-branded games for smartphones are now available for users around the world. The titles and the platforms they are supported on are Wheel of Fortune Deluxe (Windows Mobile Pocket PC, Windows Mobile Smartphone, Palm OS), JEOPARDY! Deluxe (Windows Mobile Pocket PC, Windows Mobile Smartphone, Palm OS) and Q*Bert (BlackBerry OS) and they come after a collaboration between Handmark and Sony Pictures Television.

Talking about the deal with Sony, Paul Reddick, chief executive officer at Handmark, stated, "Sony stands out as a leader in entertainment with some of the most admired, timeless television game shows in history. It is an honor to have the opportunity to take their vision and translate it into new, exciting mobile gaming experiences for smartphone users."

Q*Bert, Wheel of Fortune Deluxe and JEOPARDY! Deluxe can be bought from Handmark's official website, for prices ranging between $9.99 and $14.99.

In addition to the three above-mentioned titles, Handmark will also bring "Quantum of Solace" for BlackBerries. Obviously based on the new James Bond action movie (which should be released in the US on November 7), this new game will bring the famous 007 agent to your RIM-built handset. Quantum of Solace for BlackBerry is, apparently, a 2D game packed with dangerous situations, lots of enemy agents and tension moments. Handmark says that its James Bond adventure will be available "in the next months," together with other new titles like Rock & Roll JEOPARDY! And Wheel of Fortune Road Trip.

Coming as the 22nd James Bond film, Quantum of Solace the movie has a budget of $224 million and a cast that includes: Daniel Craig (as James Bond), Olga Kurylenko (as the "Bond girl"), Gemma Arterton, Mathieu Amalric and Judi Dench. Bound to be a blockbuster, Quantum of Solace will most probably help Handmark's game become a success too.
