Yesterday we told you that even though Sony’s upcoming Xperia Z4 flagship didn't get announced on the grounds at CES 2015, the device was still present at the event, even if not a lot of people got to see it.

According to an industry insider, the Xperia Z4 was showcased by Sony to VIPs in a secret room in Las Vegas.

Following this report, today we get more information related to the specifications of the handset. We already knew the Xperia Z4 would be relying on a QHD display and a Snapdragon 810 processor fitted with 4GB of RAM and boasting Cat.6 LTE.

There are going to be two versions of the Sony Xperia Z4

But according to Taiwanese website ePrice, the Xperia Z4 model will get two models, one with a 1080p display, while the other one will offer QHD, like it has been rumored so far.

The more advanced version will be made available in the US, while the FHD one will be marketed in other territories, although we’re not being told which ones.

The current report goes on to mention that Sony has managed to improve the water resistant capabilities of the Xperia Z4, making it even much safer to use around water.

It is mentioned that the phone will feature a flap cover on the USB port in order to keep the internal components safe from water.

Sony is believed to have improved the front-facing camera too, although the exact details haven’t been disclosed yet.

Sony Xperia Z4 to be James Bond's handset?

Back in December, an alleged photograph showing Sony’s next flagship leaked online. The company was said to be including the handset in the next James Bond movie, in the hopes of boosting the machine’s popularity.

Since the Xperia Z4 wasn't announced at CES 2015, it’s pretty logical to believe Sony will take the opportunity to unveil the handset at MWC 2015 next month in Barcelona. We’ll keep an eye out for it.
