As you might as well know by now, Sony has introduced its latest flagship tablet model, the Xperia Z2 Tablet at MWC 2014.

A few months after the event, the tablet has finally been made available for order in the US. Even so, the product might be considered a little bit pricey compared to other low-cost offers available these days, like the Nexus 7 2013 for example.

The 16GB model is available for $499 / €363, while the 32GB model retails for $599 / €435. Both are Wi-Fi versions and can be purchased off Sony’s official website or from Amazon. The LTE counterparts will probably arrive at some point in the future as well.

The new Xperia Z2 Tablet has a 10.1-inch screen with a 1920 x 1080 Triluminos display bundling Sony’s new Live color LED tech. This new system blends red and green phosphor with blue LEDs in order to produce a bright, uniform light.

A 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor lies under the bonnet, combined with a hefty 3GB of RAM.

Other notable feats that you can expect to see the tablet arrive with include Sony’s Front Surround dynamic audio, noise canceling tech (it will reportedly block up to 98% of ambient noise when used in combination with noise cancelling headphones), plus a neat Wireless Controller, so that users can pair the tablet with a PlayStation 3 DualShock 3 controller.
