Starting today, mobile phone users in the UK interested in the purchase of a Sony Xperia Z2 handset can find it available in stores as well, after it went up for order online a few weeks ago.

Phones 4u is one of the retailers to have confirmed the store availability of the device, after launching it through its online portal in mid-April. Users who ordered the phone online have already received their units.

At this retailer, the flagship Android handset is available for purchase on contracts with wireless carriers Vodafone and EE, with prices starting at £37.99 ($64/€46) per month this weekend. Xperia Z2 is accompanied by £80 ($135/€97) worth of Sony entertainment content.

The mobile phone is also available through Carphone Warehouse, which has it at £42 ($71/€51) per month with deals on the networks of EE, Orange, T-Mobile, O2 and Vodafone, as Android Central notes.

Moreover, wireless carrier O2 has announced today that the Xperia Z2 is now available for purchase on its network, both online and in store.

The operator is offering the mobile phone with a price tag ranging from £19.99 ($34/€24) to £609.99 ($1030/€742), depending on the monthly plan users will go for. Those who will choose to grab the device on a Pay As You Go deal will have to get £609.99 out of their pockets for it.

Made official during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, the Sony Xperia Z2 comes to the market with a 5.2-inch touchscreen display capable of delivering a full HD resolution.

The handset also features a 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor inside, paired with 3GB of RAM, as well as 16GB of internal memory, and a microSD memory card slot for expansion purposes.

On the back, the Sony Xperia Z2 features a 20.7-megapixel camera capable of recording videos in 4K resolution, complemented by a 2MP front camera for making video calls while on the go.

Moreover, the handset comes to shelves with the entire set of usual connectivity capabilities packed inside, including support for O2’s 4G LTE network. A GPS receiver was also packed inside it, for navigation purposes.

Sony Xperia Z2 runs under the Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system but also has a great deal of exclusive features and applications coming from Sony.

At O2, the phone is paired with various accessories, such as DNC headphones (with Digital Noise Cancelling technology) worth £39.99 ($67.5/€49), which are included in the package for free.

Moreover, the wireless carrier provides users who purchase the handset before June 30 with the possibility to get a free version of the exclusive, deluxe version of Michael Jackson's new album, "Xscape."
