Sony has brought to India its line of hybrid convertible laptops, the Vaio Flip, which has been selling in other markets across the world for some time now.

These days most device makers are focusing on producing slimmer products that can be comfortably used both as a tablet and as a laptop. Sony is also trying to carve a place for itself in this sector and expanding to markets like India is part of the strategy, reports NDTV.

The Vaio Flip line of convertibles allows users to flip the screen backwords and then fold it over the keyboard in order to use it in tablet mode.

The convertibles can be used as normal laptops, but the screen can also be flipped over in order be able to share content more easily with another person.

The line is available with 13, 14 and 15-inch screen sizes, so it’s suited for all kinds of users and scenarios. All three models draw power from advanced 4th generation Intel Core i5 and i7 processors with NVIDIA graphics processors and bundle full HD screens with Sony’s own Triluminous Display technology for image enhancement.

The 13-incher comes equipped with a fast solid-state drive, while the two larger models use a hybrid drive that offers both speed and extensive storage capacity.

Sony has also added some enhancements in the sound quality department in order to deliver a clear audio experience. All three laptops have high-quality cameras that can be used to snap high-res photos.

Those interested should know that prices for the Flip 13 start at Rs 99,990 / $1,618 / €1,194 for the Flip 14 from Rs 94,990 / $1,537 / €1,134, while for the Flip 15 they go up from Rs 104,990 / $1,699 / €1,254.
