It appears that Sony is trying to attract more Android fans with special offers and bundles. The latest promotional offer launched by the Japanese company is now available via US major carrier AT&T.

Starting this weekend, the carrier offers the Sony Tablet P and Sony Ericsson PLAY bundled together for only $299 (230 EUR) after $100.99 online discount and a two-year agreement and a minimum data plan for $35 per month.

Customers can choose the DataConnect 3GB for Tablets plan for $35 per month, which offers them 3GB of mobile data, or the DataConnect 5GB for Tablets plan for $50 per month, which will net them 5GB of data.

When purchased separately, Sony Tablet P is available for $399 (305 EUR), whereas the Sony Ericsson Xperia PLAY is priced at only $0.99. Obviously, both deals require customers to sign up for a new two-year agreement.

Although neither device is among the newest launched on the market, they would be nice additions for those who like to play on their mobile devices a lot. Both Sony devices are PlayStation-certified and come pre-loaded with several specially optimized games.

Aside from the free games that come pre-installed, both devices provide access to a dedicated game store where owners can purchase more titles at affordable prices.

Hardware-wise, Sony Tablet P is the superior device, as the tablet is equipped with a dual-core processor clocked at 1GHz, while the Xperia PLAY features a 1 GHz single-core CPU.

The former packs 4GB of internal memory, 1GB of RAM and microSD card for memory expansion (up to 32GB, 2GB memory card included), whereas the Xperia PLAY sports only 400MB onboard memory, 512MB of RAM and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB, 8GB memory card included).

Sony Tablet P and Xperia PLAY have been confirmed for an Ice C ream Sandwich update by the end of the year.
