What do you know? Out of all the electronics giants out there, Sony is the first to say a few words regarding Peter Moore's departure from Microsoft. In case you missed out on the latest and probably one of the hottest of today's news, Microsoft's Corporate Vice-President of Interactive Entertainment Business has resigned from his position to move over to EA. Don Mattrick, industry veteran and former president of Electronic Arts, will be replacing him at Microsoft.

Here's what I found within an official report today: "While Peter will certainly be missed, we are delighted to have one of the industry's most talented and passionate veterans on board to lead the business," said Microsoft's Robbie Bach. "Don is well-known and respected throughout the industry for his deep knowledge, technical expertise and management savvy. Under Don's leadership, the games team is looking forward to embarking on our biggest holiday ever, with a wide-ranging roster of some of the most highly anticipated titles."

OK, now let's see what Sony had to say about the whole deal: "We wish Peter the best of luck in his new role at Electronic Arts and look forward to working with him," said Jack Tretton, CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment America, accoring to ggl.com. "We have an outstanding relationship with EA and their sports products have been incredibly successful on all our platforms. I am sure this will continue with Peter now at the helm."

And these are not lies. Sony does have quite a relationship with the worldwide respected developer and publisher of the most well known sports games ever created. Why, we may even see a merger between Sony and Microsoft in the nearby future, in an effort to make a great "next-next-generation" console, combining peripheral-based fun with much faster loading times, razor-sharp visuals, and less failure rates. No actually, that... will never happen. Moore just moved over to EA for the benefit of his family.
