Sony is close to revealing its oft-rumored Smash Bros. rival in the near future, as the Japanese company has just registered a special website name called PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, hinting that this might be the name of the upcoming fighting game.
Sony owns quite a lot of PlayStation-exclusive properties filled with all sorts of characters, so it makes sense to create a fighting game that pits them one against another, just like Nintendo did with its Smash Bros. series.
We already heard of such a project coming from Sony last year, but now the company has taken a new step ahead of actually confirming its existence by registering a website called PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, according to All Games Beta.
Sure, it may be a weird and pretty long name, but it certainly gets the point across that the most iconic PlayStation-exclusive characters will be fighting one against another in the game.
No other details are known as of yet, but you can expect an official reveal soon enough.
