Like Acer, which has added new features to some of its notebooks, Sony has come forth and provided the market with updated versions of several computers from the VAIO F, VAIO E and VAIO L families.

Not too long ago, Acer came out and revealed, through a press release, that some of its existing laptops have been upgraded.

Now, Sony has done something similar to its VAIO Series, though the changes extend to more than just video capabilities.

The VAIO F series has also been upgraded, gaining not only USB 3.0 connectivity but also access to the NVIDIA GeForce GT 425M mobile card with 1GB of memory.

The GeForce GT 425M is one of the multiple notebook-aimed graphics solutions that NVIDIA released some time ago.

Of course, Sony also brought forth some more radical hardware upgrades to a number of its machines, namely the VAIO EB, EA and EC, to be exact.

The EB has a display size of 15.5 inches, whereas the EA and EC measure 14 inches and 17.3 inches, respectively.

What they now have available are three new CPU options, specifically a Pentium model and the Core i5-460M or Core i5-580M.

There are also Full HD displays (1,920 x 1,080 pixel resolution) for the VAIO EB and EC, plus the possibility of adding an AMD video card to the EA and EB.

To be even more specific, the VAIO EA and EB models can be configured with the AMD Radeon HD 5650 video card.

In related news, The VAIO L all-in-one PC, for instance, has now been given a Blu-ray optical disk drive, as well as a quad-core CPU, a 2TB HDD and a TV tuner, among other things.

Those interested in full information on any of these models need only stop by the Sony Style official website.
