At Gamers Developers Conference, Sony gave some details about its gaming console, PlayStation 3, and the most interesting of them was that the device will have support for peripherals, such as keyboard and mouse.

Practically, if the game supports such devices, the owners will be able to play just as they would on any PC, without having to use the controller supplied by Sony.

The rumors that Xbox 360 might also have as an accessory a QWERTY type keyboard haven't been confirmed by Microsoft and their official list of accessories doesn't include such a device.

If the PlayStation 3 will allow the connection of a mouse and a keyboard, many gamers could migrate towards this console.

As The Inquirer informs, Sony has also announced that it will start shipping their developer's kitt for Play Station 3, but it won't free of charge, the price being 25,000 Euros. And even if producers would be willing to pay the price, Sony might still turn them down, because it has a limited amount of such kitts.
