Sony Ericsson W902, the new Walkman flagship phone announced by the Swedish-Japanse company on July 22, has also appeared in two official videos, a Promo one and a Marketing one.

Presented as a phone that can provide an "outstanding music sound", the new W902 is one of the nicest SE handsets to come this year (together with the C905 slider and the Xperia X1 Windows Mobile 6.1 smartphone). The music-related features of W902 include: Walkman Player 3.0 with Equalizer and MegaBass, Shake control, TrackID, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP and FM radio with RDS.

Although it's not quite innovative when it comes to design (resembling several older Walkman handsets), the new W902 sure looks good, having a retro elegance that will probably attract lots of users.

Sony Ericsson W902 packs a 5 Megapixel camera that comes with auto focus, flash, image stabilizer, BestPic, geotagging, digital zoom, video recording and video stabilizer - so it should offer a pretty good photo and video quality.

The internal memory of W902 is not too roomy (only 25MB), but that's easily fixed by the 8GB Memory Stick Micro card that comes with every new W902 that users will buy. The W902 package will also contain a premium HPM-77 headset, which is created to make sure the phone's excellent mobile audio experience easily reaches users' ears.

The other features of W902 include: a 2.2 inch TFT display with 262K colors and 240 x 320 pixels, accelerometer (for auto-rotation), Google Maps, quad-band GSM connectivity, HSDPA 2100 connectivity, NetFront browser, push email, Instant Messaging, organizer, USB 2.0 and so on.

Measuring 110 x 49 x 11.7 millimeters and weighing 99.8 grams, the new Walkman candybar includes a powerful battery that can last up to 9 hours in talk-time mode and up to 380 hours in stand-by mode.

Sony Ericsson W902 will be available in Volcanic Black, Earth Green and Wine Red, starting the fourth quarter of 2008. The retail price of the handset was not unveiled yet, but we should expect it to be a bit below 400 Euros (around $600).

Anyway, while waiting for the market availability of W902, here are its Promo and Marketing videos:
