Sony Ericsson has just launched a challenge for all those who love taking captures with their cameraphones. They have just started "The Search" for best pictures taken on several themes.

Sony Ericsson presents its new competition on a new microsite where it reveals all the terms that contestants must meet in order to engage in the competition. The company is looking for the cameraphone photographer of the year, although only UK residents can enter the contest.

There are three categories to choose from. Those interested in proving their talent will have to choose to enter the competition in the fashion, adventure or news&sport category. This is meant to bring a greater freedom of expression for the contestants as captures from one field are difficult to judge against others with completely different demands. For example, the news&sports will look for the spectacular captured in social events, whereas those from the "fashion" category will appreciate anything from cat-walks to the classics.

The big prize of this competition is made of a trip around the world for two people with stops in five countries of their choice. There are also some Sony Ericsson Cybershot K810i phones put up as a reward and entry in the global cameraphone competition "World View". Moreover, there will also be an international fashiontrip to London, Paris and Milan and shopping vouchers of 500 pounds.

Sony Ericsson's "The Search" website offers further information on the photography competition, as well as the chance of viewing images which have already entered the contest. Moreover, those interested will also receive some tips and inspiration for getting started on winning "The Search".

The contest is meant to promote Sony Ericsson's Cybershot phones, with emphasis on the K800i and K810i models. The campaign has high chances of being a successful one, as it brings people closer to Sony Ericsson in an interactive way.
