The latest mobile phone from Sony Ericsson that made it into the wild is the Sony Ericsson Kurara, a device still unannounced, but which surfaced in a series of leaked photos and which has been also reviewed. The device is expected to arrive on the market sometime in the first quarter of the next year, while running under the Symbian operating system and being able to deliver great picture and video recording capabilities.

A series of specifications on the new handset emerged previously on the web, showing that we're to expect it be Sony Ericsson Satio's little brother. However, the phone boasts a Cortex A8 processor and 256 MB of RAM, as well as PowerVR graphics processor. Moreover, it should be able deliver 720p video recording, which, as Mobile Review notes, should put the phone on pair with the Samsung i8910 HD.

The review on Kurara can be seen here, but one should note that, given the fact that the original post on Mobile Review is in Russian, Google Translate might not prove as accurate as one would expect. Even so, additional details on the new device can still be learned from there, and the images speak for themselves, so you might want to take a look.

The specs of Sony Ericsson Kurara that can be put together from the review include a 3.5 mm headphone jack, microUSB-socket, microSD memory card slot, social networking applications, the 8-megapixel photo snapper, a responsive touchscreen display, and an overall nice impression the handset delivers to user.

Even so, it seems that the new Symbian device from Sony Ericsson is not high-end, which means that its performance on the market will be greatly conditioned by the price tag the handset vendor will deliver it with. Hopefully, it will be low enough to appeal to a wide range of users out there. Stay tuned for more updates on this.
