A Cyber-shot to be put up for testing

Sony Ericsson K850i was announced for a release at O2 sometime in October and has just hit the market on this occasion. It was just about time, as the release of the phone and its 5 megapixel camera have been expected for a long time.

This is supposed to be one of the best Cyber-shot phones that Sony Ericsson has ever brought out on the market. It has all the magic needed to take captures at a quality similar to that of real digital cameras. The autofocus, xenon flash and 3LED video light should bring a great contribution to the handset's performances and guarantee impressive pictures and video recordings.

Things are slightly different, as the producer posted on its website some beautiful images, claiming that they had been shot with the Sony Ericsson K850i camera phone. The EXIF data, showed differently, proving them to be Sanyo S50 digital camera ones. Sony Ericsson just hid head in the sand and pretended that it never happened, although there was clearly something wrong with the entire matter.

Now that the handset will be available at O2, everybody will have the chance of testing the actual performances that this mobile phone is capable of. Sony Ericsson K850i's specification list looks quite impressive, aside from the great camera. This is also a HSDPA 3G enabled device, capable of reaching data transfer speeds of up to 3.6 Mbps. Connectivity is also available through GPRS, Bluetooth and USB, which makes it quite reliable.

Sony Ericsson K850i has been announced at the beginning of this summer and headed towards a O2 release, although Vodafone has also high chances of carrying this handset in the near future. The phone will be available at a price of 130 pounds, on a 20 pounds contract, for 60 pounds on a 25 pounds monthly contract or for free, in exchange for 30 pounds per month.
