Clearer leaked shots reveal more

The fact that Sony Ericsson is working on a new Cybershot model has ceased to be a secret for quite some time now. A while back, a blurry photo of the new model was leaked on the Internet, yet little information is known, even now, about this Kate Cybershot. The only thing that seems to be certain is that Sony Ericsson's crew is working overtime to keep on developing new phones for us to enjoy. This is also the case with the Cybershot codenamed Kate.

This time, the photos that have been leaked are a lot clearer than the one we got to see before. Actually, given the quality of that one, almost anything would be better than it, so these recent pics should satisfy even the most demanding eyes.

As seen in the photos, the phone seems to be a medium-sized one, a bit thick perhaps, but with a large screen that is meant to make the most of the pictures taken with the 5 megapixel camera Kate apparently has.

On the sides, you can see the dedicated key for picture/video switch, the volume/zoom key and the round capture key. Yet another key is to be found there, which seems to allow users access to the gallery of images they have recently taken. The other side comes with the traditional Sony Ericsson connector for data transfer and charging. The keyboard seems to look a bit like the one that Nokia uses, given the large keys, but it still manages to keep that Sony Ericsson feel about it.

A quick recap on the specs would include a 5 megapixel camera with xenon flash, light sensor, switch button between Still & Video, as well as a button to access the gallery of recently taken photos, Sony Ericsson’s Java Platform 8.4, “Smile Shutter,” but lack of “Smart Contrast,” and no GPS or frontal camera for video calling. It is expected that the device have at least EDGE / UMTS / HSDPA, and also Bluetooth 2.0 function (as found on many of SE's handhelds).
