Yesterday I wrote about the Sony NEX-5T compact camera, but that wasn't the only photo capture device launched by the company.

Sony has also introduced a certain A3000 DSLR camera, featuring a 25-point autofocus system, an electronic viewfinder (100-percent field coverage), a 3-inch LCD on the back, an ISO range of 100 to 16,000, and a 20.1-megapixel Exmor APS-C HD CMOS sensor.

The product also happens to use the lens mount used by Sony's E-mount cameras, and will ship with an 18-55mm lens.

Then there's the automatic object framing mode, and other assets like a 3.5fps burst mode, a hotshoe, and 15 different picture effects.

Sony also claims the menu system is easy to understand, but I'll leave it to buyers to decide that.

Sony's A3000 with 18-55mm lens will start selling in September, probably during IFA 2013 next week, for $400 / €300.
