The Sony European official website today hosts a very interesting title: "Smash it up! PSP (PlayStation Portable) and Sony Memory Stick bring you the perfect match for Christmas." OK, so the title isn't all that interesting, but what is worth having a look at is the new Sony 8GB Memory Stick PRO Duo, available for the system this holiday season. It comes packed with the PSP game "Smash Court Tennis 3."

Owners of Sony's luscious handheld already know that 4GB was the biggest amount of memory they cold pack inside the system, but now Sony has doubled that storage space, as the new PSP Slim/Lite boasts amazing TV features that require a larger storage environment.

Sony claims this it's "a perfect match for all new PSP owners," as this exclusive bundle offers a "top class game" which we'll be sharing a few details about below, "plus increased storage capacity of multimedia data including, music files, digital photos and videos with up to 139 hours of stored music (128Kbps MP3), 5875 pictures (5Mpixels in Standard mode) and over 33 hours of video storage (MPEG-4 QVGA)."

By getting yourself this bundle, you don't necessarily have to opt for an 8GB Memory Stick Pro Duo, but you can also purchase the same bundle sporting a 4GB Memory Stick.

In Smash Court Tennis 3 players join the #1 ranked tennis player in the world, Roger Federer, the beautiful Maria Sharapova, and over a dozen other well known and up-and-coming tennis stars in the smashing follow-up to the popular Smash Court series!

Every character/player, plays with their real-life counterparts' style, while. Once you perfect your approach shot, there are many inventive mini games where you can see whether you've polished up well on your skills, or take aim for the #1 spot on the Pro Tour.

Since the Sony Europe website doesn't make any price mentioning (or at least on the page with the news), we decided to hit Amazon.com to make an idea on what such a memory stick goes for. The 8GB actual Memory Stick PRO Duo was listed there (not the whole bundle Sony's making available). It apparently goes for $128. Since Sony's pack adds a pretty good looking tennis game, giving it away along with the memory stick seems reasonable, so expect to pay for it no more than $170.
