If you’re a “Sons of Anarchy” fan – and you must be, since you’re reading this – now is the time to brace yourself, because we have only one more episode to go before the series wraps its successful 7-season run on FX.

“Red Rose,” the one before the last episode, aired the other night, and voices online are comparing it to the “Red Wedding” episode on the hit HBO show “Game of Thrones,” perhaps the best known TV series to be killing off leads to the left and right.

Yes, a lot of people died, including 3 major characters that have been on the show since day one. You have been warned, this piece includes *major spoilers, so stop reading right now if you’re caught up yet.

As promised ahead of the premiere of the seventh and final season, justice is being served – but there’s a very high chance that this would equal the demise of SAMCRO. President Jax Teller (Charlie Hunnam) is running the club into the ground because he’s lost the only compass to decency he still had, his wife Tara (Maggie Siff) in the previous season.

Perhaps the most anticipated death on the show, in the sense that it was a long time coming, was that of Gemma (Katey Sagal). I won’t spoil the episode for you, so suffice it to say that Jax finally avenged Tara’s death – and Gemma handled herself like a true “old lady,” with dignity and nothing but love for her son.

She wasn’t the only one to go either, because Unser and Juice were also offed. Unser died by Jax’s hand, when he tried to prevent him from killing Gemma, and Juice was killed by white supremacist Ron Tully (Marilyn Manson) in prison.

All in all, it was a sad day for SOA fans. To make it better, EW has a bunch of videos trying to sum up the series in 30 seconds: they’re funny and, most importantly, true. Check them out and remember to drop me a line in the comments with your thoughts on the most recent episode – and your expectations for the last.
