14 DAY TRIAL // The first actual details and screenshots about Sega’s upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode II downloadable game have just appeared, thanks to a leak on the Xbox Live Marketplace.
Sega impressed quite a lot of people with Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode I, which delivered a modern take on the classic Sonic experience, with quite a few iconic levels from previous games being recreated for current platforms.
Sadly, while the episodic format should have allowed Sega to release games more often, that wasn’t the case, as the Japanese company shrouded the second episode under a veil of mystery. A teaser video appeared earlier this year but Sega still shied away from an official confirmation.
Now, its plans were blown away, as it seems that a listing for Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode II has briefly appeared on the Xbox Live Marketplace. Before Microsoft took it down, clever NeoGAF members, via XBLAfans, were able to copy its description, its cover, as well as the screenshots that were part of the listing.

As you can see, pretty much all of its features are mentioned in the description. The screenshots below also paint a pretty good picture of how Sonic 4: Episode II and its levels will look, so feel free to check them out.
Expect an official confirmation of the game from Sega in the near future.
