They provide lots of juice and are dead silent

Nobody likes wind turbines, especially if you've got a whole community near you. Mostly because they are noisy, they usually break a lot and need expensive parts. And yes, they are very environment unfriendly because they can and will kill birds that get caught in the air vortex generated by the blades. However, in the latest months a safer, quieter and more peaceful alternative to the wind turbine has produced a lot of positive feedback.

It is called the Stormblade Turbine and it's an ultra-efficient wind turbine which works by accelerating the wind onto the blades motive for which it is more efficient at both low and high speeds of the wind. The turbine resembles the ones that are mounted on the Jumbo-jets but its way quieter. It can operate at almost any wind speed depending only on the resistance of the components and you don't need to turn it off when the wind doesn't blow fast enough.

The turbine can convert up to 70 per cent of wind power into electricity and can usually work on wind speeds from 7mph to120mph. The turbine is more aerodynamically efficient and uses a lot less space compared with the classical wind turbines. The initial prototype has been tested in the UK with the help of London's Manufacturing Advisory Service (London MAS) and proved to be quite a success.

From what we know, the Stormblade project is a complete success and with some 14 companies interested to build and use this product on a large scale, there is an actual possibility that this turbine will replace the traditional wind turbine. And I see no problem in that. Especially because I just love birds.
