Getting ready for The Burning Crusade

I know you are just waiting for the next WoW expansion pack, but before you will get a chance to play it, Blizzard has planned to release some more game content.

They will release a content update next Tuesday, the 5th of December. This new content will be called "Before the Storm" and will include the PvP Honor System as well as new features that will prepare gamers for The Burning Crusade Expansion.

If this patch will be released as planned, this week will be the last week that the new PvP ranks under the old Honor System can be earned, as the patch will immediately introduce the new Honor System. Blizzard will run one final honor calculation on December 5 and by this calculation, everybody's ranking will be updated.

Blizzard also reveals that no new PvP rewards will be unlocked for purchase with this final "old Honor System" calculation, regardless of any increase in rank. There is some good news for seeking high-rank PvP armor and weapons, because the new Honor System will include some rewards items.

Apparently, earning items under the new Honor System will be a lot easier than earning items under the old Honor System. Finally, those who wish to see how their PvP abilities measure up against other players will still be able to do so under the new Arena System.
