If you're a sucker for solar powered items, then Soltronix solar powered AM/FM headphone may be the thing you were looking for: the Soltronix Headphone Radio. It comes with solar panels that are "sewed" on top of the headphones giving you th Dumbo-look that could scare all those irritating morining joggers eager to compete with you.

Here comes the yapping. The can sized ear pieces come with a built-in Ni-MH AAA battery that stores any generated surplus of power. Furthermore, when turned off, all power goes to the recharging batteries. You don't need full direct sunlight in order to charge the battery, but charging in full sun gives you more time of use. A fully charged battery will give you about 18 hours of radio play. The Soltronix is purported to provide up to 19 hours playback even if it gets 4 hours of sunbath under the morning sun.

The makers of the product said the sound is "superb", but I guess they forgot to mention that the quality of the sound depends on potential "superb" interferences as well on strength of AM or FM radio signals. The features include extended bass, comfortable dual headband and a built-in antenna.

The bad news is that the headset is big enough to block not only your ears, but also your eyes (almost!). Hence, if you like to roam around a stylish place, this is definitely not a good choice. It would've been nicer if the headset had a built-in MP3 player.
