New line of blasters from Solarahome: killer-looking yet no prices!

Solarahome is the type of enterprise which rather shocks at the first encounter with its products. What face would you make if I showed you a large leather 4 seater couch opening up in the most intriguing way just to reveal carefully and wisely hidden beverage holders and refreshment stands in it which would quickly transform it from a perfect longing place to a most comfortable theater-couch (you'll never meet in any theater, by the way)? All in genuine leather, curbed forum-array, internally-stored ottoman and a floor-level game system compartment? I guess you'll just pop your eyes out as I did in the first place...

Now it's time for Solarahome to make a solid step forward and enter the rather fierce battle of hi-fi products. Nevertheless from what I've seen so far, they're quite bold and have all the reasons to be confident in the new loudspeakers series: they look great, I bet they also sound close to perfection - and thus two things remain - reliability and price. Now, off-the-record, when you're set on spending "the big bucks" on audiophile gear, moving 1 or 2 thousands up and down is of lesser importance...

The tower series comprise the T100 and T150 units, floor-standing and sporting pretty much the same speaker array: 2 woofers, 1 mid and one HF driver. Besides power ratings (150W for T150 and 100W for T100, obviously) the two new towers differ by the larger one sporting 10" woofers compared with smaller on with only 6.5" ones, 5" mids versus 4" ones and 88dB respectively 87dB sensitivity.

The next member in the Solarahome family is the C100 speaker which is (by far) a center speaker. Many underestimate the importance of center speakers and I'll just add that many motion pictures in HD sound have an enormous amount of the "definition" component stored in the center-channel data and it is vital for the overall quality of the sound that the center channel is a very good one...if true HD audio is really required.

Sporting 2 5" mid drivers and the classic 1" HF driver, the C100 will blast a huge 65W in your room at an overall 86dB sensitivity. Even more, the C100 can be successfully used as front towers when in conjunction with the next speakers, the S100.

In the case of the S100 , the "S" stands for "surround" as I presume you've all guessed and will dramatically enhance the way you perceive sound by adding dimension and direction to it. Basically they are the single-mids driver versions of the C100 and thus they sport only the full-series 1" HF driver and just one 5" MF driver.

All the new pieces form Solarahome can be delivered in one of the following finishes, according to customer wish: black, cherry, maple and mahogany and sport a 5-year warranty for the original purchaser in what parts and labor are concerned.

There is no price announced yet but anyway, I expect the new series to be affordable, yet not for your everyday shopping habits.
