14 DAY TRIAL // We’re not even in April yet but celebrities are already getting ready for the summer. Some female stars are increasing their visits to the gym to get the perfect bikini body, but others are also changing their hair color. Sofia Vergara is back to blonde.
One of the facts that never ceases to amaze Sofia, and of which she never made a secret, is how easily people forget that she’s a natural blonde, which somehow confuses casting directors because they imagine most Latinas have dark hair.
To break into Hollywood, she dyed her hair dark and she’s stuck with the color until just recently.
“Blonde ambitions!! Gracias to the amazing Kelly Klain Im ready for summer!☀,” Sofia writes in a tweet accompanying a photo of her summer makeover.

As many of her fans have already told her on social media, she looks great, no matter the hair color. However, we do admit to being eager to see her work the new ‘do on the red carpet.
“When I started acting, I would go to auditions and they didn't know where to put me because I was voluptuous and had the accent – but I had blonde hair,” Sofia said in one of her most recent interviews about how hard it was for her to break into the movie industry.
“It was ignorance: They thought every Latin person looks like Salma Hayek. The moment I dyed my hair dark, it was, ‘Oh, she's the hot Latin girl’,” she continued.
Consequently, she stuck with the darker hair, to the point where many of her newer fans didn’t even know she was a natural blonde.
“I loved it,” Sofia said. “I'd always felt a little ‘too much’ as a blonde, like a big-mouth version of Pamela Anderson. Being brunette toned me down a bit.”
